University of Phoenix, Hawaii Campus
Intro
University of Phoenix was founded on an innovative idea: Make higher education highly accessible for working students.
Challenge
The Hawaii Campus graduates hundreds of degree candidates during the graduation ceremonies. The administration needed to visibly distinguish each candidate class in their relative fields. They were using small, hand-held banners to display the graduates’ field during the commencement walk to the seats.
Process & Solution
After understanding the need and what they were currently utilizing, we developed an economical solution of a board-and-stanchion marker. The marker must be lightweight and fairly compact since candidates of different sizes and gender would be carrying these.
We used common ¾” PVC piping and couplers to create the 5’ stanchion (pole). The board was printed double sided so that all may read the candidates’ field of study and attached to a PVC T-Mount, custom cut to accommodate the 3/16” thick board.

Andrés Restaurant: Website
Intro
Family owned and operated restaurant since 1983, Andrés Restaurant has a strong local following and had the privilege to serve many visiting dignitaries, pro-athletes and non-local people in search of good authentic Cuban and Caribbean food.
Process & Solution
Andres Restaurant needed an updated, fresher on-line presence. With the addition of updated logo we created, the new website needed to be informative, easy to navigate and have the ability to capture inquiries/leads for future digital marketing campaigns.
Results
Implementing an analytics program that measures all aspects of visits to the website, we are able to evaluate the most popular pages “hit” on the site and renew content that are not as frequently visited so content is always fresh. By adding the email campaigns for special events, this has greatly increase the response of participation of customers, especially with the personalization feature.

Sun Microsystems:
DB / Push marketing campaigns (tool kit)
Challenge
Sun Microsystems’ Telecommunication (TELCO) Field Marketing reps needed to increase lead generation for qualified prospects and current customers. Competition for providing product and services for the enterprise-level TELCO industry is extremely competitive and it boils down to who can service the customer better and aggressively keep in the mind’s eye of them as well.
Process
We utilized a simple and effective process we call “Carrot Campaigning”. An incentive-based lead generation process begins with creating a database of the target market’s email address. Development of the email message includes benefit driven copy, description of the incentive or “carrot” they receive for taking the time to fill out the form and the response link to take them to the on-line form. The form will require them to fill out completely plus additional survey type items so the representative can qualify them as a prospect. Once they complete the form, the data is sent in an auto-generated form sent via email that can be easily import to a spreadsheet program for data collection. The incentive is then fulfilled by us and shipped out to the prospect.
Since all aspects of communication is digital, this is a very economical and “green” approach to marketing solutions.
Solution
The target market were TELCO engineering managers and developers that Sun Microsystems need to get in front of. Utilizing the database they provided, we created the campaign with the “carrot” being a compact tool kit with carrying case and the Sun Microsystems logo imprint on it. Once the lead was captured, the fulfillment of the incentive gift went out same day via FedEx.
