Target Audience
- The target audience for this conference is based upon a group that
would benefit from learning more about problems of high-risk pregnancy.
This would include perinatologists, general OB-GYNs and nursing
staff involved in the care of high-risk pregnancies, both within the
office and within a hospital setting.

Objectives
1) Define new information on dealing with preeclampsia.
2) Identify appropriate
management of the patient with oligohydramnios.
3) Recognize the
new role of progesterone for the prevention of prematurity.
4) Define of ultrasound
modalities
and management of twin gestations, especially that of monoamniotic twin
gestations.
5) Recognize etiologies
and prevention of cerebral palsy in the antepartum period
and the new task force requirement on the documentation on the development
of intrapartum cerebral palsy.

6) Identify and
recognize the ethical usage and new treatment uses for umbilical cord
stem cells.
7) Recognize more
uses of information
on abnormalities via ultrasound and management, specifically of performance
and management of fetal intracranial ultrasonography.
8) Recognize rational
protocols for the patient with previable, preterm premature rupture
of membranes.
9) Identify reasons
why patients litigate against their obstetrician/gynecologist.
